Andijan
region, which occupies the Eastern part of the Fergana valley, is located in
the Eastern part of Uzbekistan. Its administrative center is an urban – type
settlement-Andijan. Although there are not many preserved architectural and
historical monuments, Andijan has a long and rich history. There are almost 380
cultural heritage sites in Andijan. On the territory of the region there are
ancient settlements and archaeological complexes, dating from the XII-VII
centuries BC. Including Dalvarzin, Eilaton, Mingtepa, Ashkaltepa, Sarvontepa
and others. Attractive sights such as Mirpostin-ota, Fozilmon-ota, Qutayba Ibn
Muslim, Imam-ota, "Tuzluk Momo", "Uch buloq" and several
others. And also, the development of ecotourism will have a positive impact on
the Andijan region.
